Company History

The company was founded in 1974 as the Iron Structures and Gates Manufacturing Company. The factory was purchased by the company’s founder, the late Engineer Abdul Hussein Al-Tahhan, and his partners in 1980. The necessary renovations were carried out to transform it into the National Engineering Industries Company in 1986. The company’s current address is on the Karkh side, near the police tunnel, in the Al-Dawudi Industrial Area, M/626, Z/4, Building/15, Hittin District. Its specializations were changed to include the manufacture of heaters and boilers of all types under the “Hitemp” brand name. In the 1990s, air conditioning units were added to the company’s list of specializations. At the beginning of the third millennium, the “Al-Tahhan” brand was adopted for all of the company’s products.

The company received the International Quality Mark in 2021, making it the first company in its field to receive this certification. The company continues to supply the Iraqi market with all its heater and boiler products of various sizes. It is now considered one of the largest private sector companies in its field. The company is proud that its products are well-known in most Iraqi governorates. The company boasts a reliable warranty system for its products and competitive after-sales services compared to all commercial agencies in Iraq.
